Tony Michels, PT, DPT, OCS, Owner
Tony is the director of Physical Therapy of Flower Mound and one of the owners of Therapy Partners of North Texas. He grew up in Minnesota and received his undergraduate degree from Winona State University. In 1997 he graduated from Creighton University with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Tony is a board certified specialist in orthopedic physical therapy (OCS) through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. He has been practicing in Flower Mound since 1999 and works closely with athletes ranging from junior high to professional levels. He treats all orthopedic conditions. Tony uses a hands-on approach combining manual therapy, functional exercise and patient involvement, all backed by the latest research, which yields favorable outcomes for his patients. He recently joined International Spine and Pain Institute as an assistant instructor and is close to completing a manual certification with this same organization. Tony and his wife Candice live in Flower Mound with their twin boys.
We are fortunate to have almost 20 years of experience between four physical therapists; Tony, David, Mary and Steve. All of our physical therapists strive to provide the most current and up to date techniques. This is done through constant continuing education, journal reading and interaction with our referring physicians. We have observed many different types of orthopedic surgeries which helps us provide the best possible care for our patients.
Finally, two of our therapists have their Doctorate in Physical Therapy. The business office staff consists of LaShawnda and Gemma who bring over 12 years of experience in handling your insurance and financial needs here at Physical Therapy of Flower Mound.
